Tamadori’s Fantasies Never Stop! Vol. 2

Tamadori’s Fantasies Never Stop! Vol. 2

If Volume 1 of Tamadori’s Fantasies Never Stop! was about establishing the wild, over-the-top imagination of our protagonist, Volume 2 doubles down on the chaos while sneaking in a surprising amount of heart. Tamadori, an office worker whose daydreams frequently spiral into elaborate (and often ridiculous) fantasies, continues to blur the line between mundane reality and absurd inner worlds.

Volume 2 refines the comedic formula by weaving Tamadori’s fantasies more tightly into the ongoing narrative. A simple staff meeting becomes an epic war council, a casual grocery run turns into a dungeon raid, and a karaoke night morphs into a high-stakes idol showdown. These imaginative leaps are hilarious, but what makes them engaging is how the fantasy intrudes on—and sometimes improves—Tamadori’s real life.

The supporting cast also begins to shine here. Coworkers who once saw Tamadori as a harmless oddball start realizing that her creative thinking has unexpected benefits. There’s a particularly clever chapter where her fantasy about defending a crumbling castle helps her find a solution to a real workplace problem. It’s slapstick, but it also builds Tamadori’s growth as more than just comic relief.

Artistically, the series keeps flexing between two visual modes: the mundane, everyday slice-of-life style, and the bold, extravagant fantasy panels that erupt whenever Tamadori’s imagination kicks in. The contrast never feels jarring—it’s the point. Some of the fantasy spreads in this volume are downright gorgeous, easily rivaling “serious” fantasy manga in detail and scope, which makes the comedic timing even sharper when the scene abruptly snaps back to reality.

What elevates this second volume is how it starts to peel back Tamadori’s psychology. While most of her fantasies are comedic exaggerations, there are moments of vulnerability. One chapter shows her imagining herself as a knight shielding others from harm—a fantasy rooted in her real desire to protect her friends from stress. Another fantasy about being adored on a grand stage reflects her insecurities about feeling invisible in daily life. Suddenly, the comedy has depth.

By the end of Volume 2, the manga positions itself as more than a gag series. It’s shaping up to be a character study about escapism, creativity, and the role imagination plays in survival. Yes, Tamadori’s antics are still laugh-out-loud funny, but now they’re also oddly relatable. Anyone who’s ever drifted off during a boring meeting can see a piece of themselves in her.

All in all, Tamadori’s Fantasies Never Stop! Vol. 2 is both funnier and more poignant than its predecessor. It suggests that Tamadori’s inner worlds aren’t just distractions—they’re essential to who she is. And if the series keeps balancing absurd humor with emotional honesty this well, it might just live up to its title: the fantasies really won’t stop.
