One thing to note is that Anya knows that her father is a spy and that her mother is an assassin from the moment she met them, as well as that she knows that they don’t know about each other to begin with! So, this makes her smile with joy and excitement as she wonders how this will make her life interesting.
This series revolves around the fact that Anya is a telepath and can read people’s minds. As well as that her parents do not know this about her, this makes things even more interesting! She has to make sure to keep this fact secret from her family as to be “normal”. Will she pull it off?
This first issue of the manga is amazing and setups the series for an awesome series of events that may lead to bigger conflicts and more adventures for the young Anya, who is looking to have an interesting life as it is. We will see how these events unfold, as it stands. I love this first issue. It has a lot of everything packed into it to get you started without dragging out the story. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next!
