Black Summoner Vol 2

Black Summoner Vol 2

Black Summoner Vol. 2 cranks up the action, the party-building, and yes, the absolute chaos that comes with being a battle-hungry isekai protagonist. Our main man Kelvin, who traded in his past memories for overpowered abilities (because why not?), is back at it again—this time heading toward the coastal city of Toraj. Why? Well, because even world-dominating summoners need some good rice. But as it turns out, traveling is never that simple when you’re the strongest guy in the room. Along the way, he and his growing squad find themselves facing off against the infamous bandit group known as the Black Wind. Spoiler alert: It doesn’t end well for the bandits.

After casually steamrolling the Black Wind’s leader, Karna, and handing him over to the authorities, Kelvin and crew are ready to enjoy some well-earned relaxation. Except, of course, the city of Toraj has its own share of shady dealings, and before long, they’re tangled up in power struggles and political intrigue. Between learning about underground conspiracies and watching his demon companion Sera react to human culture like an alien trying to understand fast food, Kelvin’s plans for a laid-back trip go out the window. But hey, if there’s one thing he loves more than food, it’s a good fight.

Things take an even wilder turn when a group of heroes from Deramis enters the mix, and let’s just say they’re not thrilled about Kelvin flexing his absurd power levels all over the place. Enter Touya Kanzaki, a hero with serious main character energy, who immediately challenges Kelvin to a dramatic showdown. Cue the fireworks! This battle delivers everything—clashing ideals, ridiculous power levels, and the kind of misunderstandings that only anime logic can fix. It’s an absolute spectacle, proving once again that diplomacy in isekai worlds is just an excuse to fight flashier battles.

The art remains crisp and expressive, bringing both the over-the-top battles and comedic moments to life. From smug grins to panic-stricken realizations (Touya realizing he picked a fight with the wrong guy), the facial expressions alone make this volume worth the read. The action sequences are fluid, the comedic timing is sharp, and every moment oozes the kind of energy that keeps you flipping pages faster than Kelvin steamrolls enemies.

Reading Black Summoner Vol. 2 was an absolute blast. It’s like watching a gaming prodigy dominate an MMORPG, except instead of rage-quitting enemies, they just join his ever-growing party. The mix of action, political intrigue, and lighthearted comedy makes for an exhilarating read that keeps the energy high from start to finish. If you love a protagonist who has way too much fun being overpowered, this volume delivers in spades.
